Cropping and rotating specific size images

One of the great options of the ordering system on this website is that you can crop any image to size preference if that size is available for purchase. The crop tool will render automatically if it is available for use based on the size print you want. The crop tool can be moved up, down, or from side-to-side so you can select the part of the image you would like to print. Additionally, you can drag the crop tool in or out to shrink or enlarge the part of the photo you want to print. You are also able to rotate the orientation of the crop from horizontal to vertical by selecting the "rotate" button below the image. Image crops can be edited once in the shopping cart, prior to checkout if you would like to review prior to purchasing. The crop tool will remain locked to the aspect ratio that correlates to the size of the print you have selected. The two photos below show examples of the crop tool.

Help with materials, finishes, mounts and finishing options

Lets's be honest, this stuff is confusing.  Below is basic information on the variety of materials that can be used to turn my photographs into art for your home, office, restaurant  or any other location. You can also have prints shipped to someone else as a gift.

Below you will find three screen shots that demonstrate where you can find more info in the ordering process. On the ordering pages there is a "i more info" below each format type that includes additional information. The image below on the left shows where you can find this. The image in the center shows what this looks like if you select within the Wall Art > Metal Prints pathway and the image on the right shows what it looks like for standard sized paper prints.

Underneath the three screen shots below there is a written summary of what each format consists of and some of the ordering options. The section on paper prints includes additional screen shots related to some of the finishing options available to some paper print sizes. Finishing options are not available for every size. Please see that section for more information.

Metal Prints

Vibrant colors on a waterproof and scratch resistant surface are made by infusing dyes directly into coated aluminum sheets to produce a detailed print. These prints come ready to hang. You can choose one of three finish types.

- High gloss finish is a glossy surface that shows all the details.

- Satin finish is a smooth and even appearance.

- Mid gloss finish has high color intensity and detail with less glare than the high gloss finish.

The information (i) button on the order page shows images of the wall mount.

Canvas

Canvas prints are made from photo prints being bonded to a canvas or art being printed directly into the canvas. You can select two options for canvas prints.

- Traditional Canvas - In these prints the canvas is wrapped around a wooden frame and part of the photo is visible on the side of the frame giving depth to print.

- Stretched Canvas - In these prints the canvas is stretched around a wooden frame and stapled to the back edge of the wooden frame. The image is only visible on the front of canvas.

The information (i) button on the ordering page has pictures that demonstrate the difference between these finishes.

Acrylic Metal

A metal print with a 1/4" acrylic cover that enhances and protects the print. Four stainless steel posts (one in each corner) finishes the print and float the print 1" out from the wall.

Epic Prints

These prints are made on Fujiflex silver halide photographic paper with upto 610 dpi resolution to deliver exceptional clarity. The print is mounted to aluminum and offers a modern, sleek profile with durability and an incredible presentation.

Mounting options include:

- Inset Metal Frame that makes the image appear to float off the wall. A French Cleat Hanger is included

- Black Float Frame gives a 1/4" space between the print and the frame so the image appears to float in the within the frame.

- Light Pewter Float Frame gives a 1/4" space between the print and the frame so the image appears to float in the within the frame.

The information (i) button on the ordering page shows pictures that offers a great visual of this presentation and finish.

Fine Art Prints

These prints are made with premium archival inks and Fine Art Papers using a high-resolution large format inkjet printer. Each paper has its own unique description and feel. Each available paper is described in the ordering process.

Paper Prints

Paper prints are a traditional and cost effective way to hang art. These must be frames before hanging. In the ordering process you will be able to select from a number of finishes and finishing options.

1. Finish options:

- Lustre is printed on a heavy premium (Kodak Supra Endura) paper to offer vibrant glossy colors with a fingerprint-resistent finish that absorbs light.

- Glossy has a shiny finish that appears brighter than a matte print.

- Metallic finish is printed on Kodak Endura Professional Metallic paper to offer a rich distinct metallic feel. While not as vibrant as a true metal print, this is a cheaper alternative.

2. Finishing Options:

These optional additions (at an extra cost) offer options to help customize your purchase with matting & framing or a  back mount option. Texture and coatings can be applied to both framed and mounted images. None of these are required, and you will be walked through the process in a step by step fashion on the checkout page. Another option is to order the print and take it to a local frame shop and have it framed closer to home. The pictures below walk you through this process.

Wood Prints

My images are printed directly on to a 1/2" thick maple surfaced wooden board. The grain and natural wood texture is visible underneath of the lighter and white tones in the image. These prints have less detail than other formats, but do offer a vintage feel with warm tones with texture. No two prints will be the same.

Keepsakes

At this time my photos can be printed on the following keepsake formats:

- Small Refrigerator Magnets - these magnets measure 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches, have rounded corners and a matte finish.

- Large Refrigerator Magnets - these magnets measure 3.5 inches by 5 inches, have rounded corners and a matte finish.

- Puzzles - You can print my photos onto a 252 piece puzzle measuring 10 inches by 14 inches with a glossy finish. They come in a box with a print of the photo on the cover of the box.

- Mouse Pads - People still need mouse pads and you can print my art on a 9.125 inch by 7.75 inch mouse pad.

- Post Cards- A 4 inch by 6 inch heavy card stock with a glossy finish.

Final Review Before Purchase
